Neighbors, Our third committee deadline is behind us and when we return from our short holiday break next week, full House votes will begin on our budget bills. This week, the Minnesota House unanimously passed legislation I authored updating laws related to limited supervised practice of former alcohol and drug counseling students, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programs, HIV training, withdrawal management program licensing, and client record documentation requirements. This bill is strongly supported by the Minnesota Association of Resources for Recovery and Chemical Health (MARRCH) and is designed to decrease stress on the workforce and increase service and access for SUD patients. _______________________________ Happy Passover, Easter, and Ramadan to all who celebrate! _______________________________ Stay Connected with the LegislatureThe Minnesota House of Representatives Public Information Services offers nonpartisan recaps of high-profile bills, committee hearings, and floor sessions with their Session Daily publication.
