Neighbors, On July 1, many of the laws we passed this legislative session will go into effect. They include increases in funding for agriculture, education, renewable energy, public safety, and elections. Among the key bills taking effect are free school breakfast and lunch for all K-12 students, protecting healthcare workers against violence, limits on no-knock warrants, funding for rural broadband, free college tuition for income-eligible students, and more. I have been asked to speak to several groups, both locally and regionally, about our legislative accomplishments. It is a pleasure to talk about the budget my colleagues and I crafted to help all Minnesotans thrive and succeed. Also, your participation and contribution to the process helped inform our decisions and will make Minnesota a better place for everyone to live and work.
