St. Paul, MN – State Representative Cedrick Frazier (DFL-New Hope) announced that on Aug. 1, local nursing homes received a significant amount of new state funding as part of a bipartisan agreement to stabilize a sector of the economy that is facing financial hardship. Local nursing homes will receive another significant one-time payment on Aug. 1, 2024.
"Our elders have made countless contributions to our society, and it is our duty to care for them in their golden years,” said Rep. Frazier. “During this session, I was proud to vote 'yes' for legislation that would increase funding for nursing homes. This investment will ensure that our elders receive the quality care they deserve and that the dedicated professionals who care for them are equitably compensated. I am also incredibly proud of our local nursing facilities for their resilience during the pandemic and for their commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all of their residents."
Of these initial investments, $1,755,367 have been delivered to nursing homes in Rep. Frazier’s district on Aug. 1, including:
$283,202 to Terrace at Crystal in Crystal.
$449,887 to St. Therese Home in New Hope.
$267,136 to Good Sam Society Ambassador in New Hope.
$755,142 to North Ridge Health and Rehab in New Hope.
The same amount will be delivered to these facilities again on Aug. 1, 2024.
