Saint Paul, MN- A fire broke out at the beloved Magnolias restaurant on Payne Avenue in St. Paul on Monday evening, causing significant damage to the kitchen area, however, no injuries have been reported. The restaurant will remain closed until further notice as repairs are undertaken.
Representatives Athena Hollins (DFL-St. Paul) and Liz Lee (DFL-St. Paul) released the following statement:
“While deeply saddened by the fire at Magnolias, we are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe. Magnolias, a beloved staple in the East Side community since 1984, will be dearly missed during its closure. We commend the Saint Paul Fire Department for their swift and professional response minimizing damage. We offer our unwavering support to everyone involved during this challenging time.”
