Hello friends and neighbors, I am honored to have started my 3rd term as your representative in the Minnesota House of Representatives. It has been an exciting and historic week! On Tuesday, I was officially sworn in and had the pleasure of bringing Nick McGrath to the ceremony. Nick is a social studies teacher in Austin and he got to witness history being made with me. Our committees also started this week, and I am really excited to be serving on three this year. They are Education Policy, Education Finance, and Labor and Workforce Development Finance and Policy. I will be the Vice Chair of the Education Policy Committee, which suits me well as a teacher of 20 years! As you may have heard, the start of the session was not as normal. There have been accusations floating around the media and the Capitol about actions on the part of both the GOP and DFL parties. Watch my ‘Mueller Minute,’ a short weekly video from me at the Capitol, with more details about the rule and legalities of the legislative session. Shoutouts: Congratulations to Garitt Wytaske on his graduation from MMUA’s apprenticeship program and attaining his journeyman lineworker certification. Best of luck to Garitt in his career! Congratulations also to Grand Meadow senior Lauren Queensland for winning the AAA award. The AAA award is given to high school students who excel in the arts, athletics, and academics. I am proud of your hard work and sacrifice to achieve this! And congratulations to Breanna Bortner for being named the 2025 Paint the Town Pink ambassador. This initiative encompasses a set of important community events and rallying behind a worthy cause. We are honored to have Breanna as our ambassador.
