Assistant DFL Leader Kristi Pursell’s Statement on the February Forecast
St. Paul, MN - Today, the Minnesota Management and Budget Office released its February budget forecast, confirming that President Trump’s policies are already moving Minnesota’s economy and state budget in the wrong direction.
House Assistant DFL Leader Kristi Pursell (DFL—Northfield), released the following statement:
“We’ve been seeing headlines and stories just in these first two months about how Trump’s cuts are hurting families, farmers, and working Minnesotans. Today's state budget forecast shows that Trump’s policies will create real problems for Minnesota’s economy and state budget.
“Republicans in Congress and the Minnesota House are fighting to preserve a system that works great for corporations and billionaires, but not the average family. I’m committed to passing a budget that helps create an economy where everyone can get ahead, and where we can take care of our families and our neighbors.”
