Legislative Update

Friends and Neighbors,

We have seen so many CRAZY bills in St. Paul this year! Here are just a few of the bills I discuss in this week's video:

Uber and Lyft Uber and Lyft have been a sore spot for DFL members. This is going to be a huge problem for businesses in the metro area and reducing the footprint for safe transportation in the state of Minnesota.

Religious Liberty We talked about the religious liberty. These are really offensive that we’re looking at making gender a protected class but these are things that are just way outside the dots.

Painter Licensing Basically, the paint bill allows you to only purchase a certain amount of paint. You have to be licensed in order to purchase more than one gallon of paint. So, I paint my house and what if you paint a mural on the wall? What happens then if you’re expressing your freedom of expression. You have to get a license to purchase the paint for that mural? This is crazy people. It’s absolutely crazy and it’s all coming from the Democrats at the house.

Universal Basic Income A universal basic income, that’s socialism. If you want people to do well in life, don’t give them a little bit so they’re satisfied with being at the bottom. Help them to envision themselves. Help them to have the hope to get to do the best they can with their life.
