Rep. Gillman Statement on Closure of Hutchinson Leader Saint. Paul, MN — With the Hutchinson Leader closing later this month Representative Dawn Gillman (R – Dassel) shares her thoughts on the end of this beloved local outlet. “I have been reading this paper since I was a kid growing up in Hutch,” Said Representative Gillman. “Local newspapers are the first place people look to see what is happening in their communities and to focus on local events that are much more impactful on their daily lives. With national news becoming increasingly polarized local outlets like the Hutchinson Leader were a great way to stay up-to-date and avoid some of the more politically charged headlines.” “My heart goes out to everyone who will be affected by the end of this publication.
