It’s been a very productive first week of session. It feels great to be back working to improve our community! Here are some updates from the Capitol:
1. My Work at the Capitol - Follow My Activity
Session is often a very busy and hectic time, but with a few handy links you can easily track my legislative activity.
This year I am serving as the Vice Chair of the Taxes committee, and I am serving on the Transportation, Veterans and Military Affairs, and the Housing committees. You can find links to these committees on my House profile page.

2. ArtLab Rx Visit - Art Therapy Transforming Lives
I recently went with Rep. Newton and Sen. Kupec to the ArtLab Rx in Blaine.
We discussed the field of art therapy and the importance of making it a licensed profession in Minnesota. We even got a chance to try a short art therapy exercise ourselves!
I’m co-authoring HF 2743 which would establish licensure for art therapy, and we’re hoping to get a hearing on the bill this year.
3. Upcoming Town Hall With Speaker Hortman - Come Say Hi!
I am hosting a town hall on Wednesday, February 21, from 6:30 - 8 pm, at the Mary Ann Young Center with House Speaker Melissa Hortman. I encourage you to come by to learn about the 2024 session and share your thoughts.
You can sign up for the town hall and presubmit questions here.
