Dear Neighbors,
This week I’ve been busy performing my legislative duties in our district. Here is some of what I’ve worked on this week.
Meeting With County Commissioner - Building on Shared Priorities
- Making progress for our community often means working across levels of government.
- That’s why I was glad to meet today with Anoka County Commissioner Julie Jeppson to discuss the County’s 2025 legislative priorities!
- We discussed seeking money for a grade-separated intersection at Highway 65 and Bunker Lake Blvd. and safety upgrades at the intersection of Highway 47 and 85th Ave. near Northtown, ways to make sure the county’s deputy registrars (where you get your drivers license) can remain financially viable, and more.
Visit to VEAP - Feeding Minnesota
- I visited VEAP, the largest food pantry in the metro area.
- They are doing important work around food security. I look forward to working on legislation that feeds more families this year. As a new member of the Human Services Committee, it’s helpful for me to learn about the various ways we can support families in need.

Alexandra House Pet Haven - Support for Those in Need
- Alexandra House – an organization devoted to empowering victims of domestic and sexual violence – celebrated the ribbon-cutting of Linus’ Pet Haven, a transformative addition to their Emergency Shelter program.
- This incredible space ensures survivors of domestic violence never have to choose between their safety and their beloved pets. This milestone highlights the power of community support and partnerships in creating hope and safety for families.
- I was proud to be there today to celebrate this vital new resource in our community. Learn more about Alexandra House, and how you can support their work, here.
