SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Last week, Governor Tim Walz announced new state grants in the Live Well at Home program, which helps aging Minnesotans stay in their homes and communities.
Newtrax, a White Bear Lake nonprofit, received $70,000 to expand its senior circulator loops program. These transportation loops have effectively decreased social isolation, and the state grant will allow Newtrax to serve even more seniors in the future.
Funding for the Live Well at Home program was included in the 2023 Human Services Budget bill which Rep. Curran voted for. They also serve on the House Human Services Policy Committee. More information on Live Well at Home can be found here.
