State Rep. Brion Curran elected to serve as Assistant DFL Leader 

St. Paul, MN – This week, the Minnesota House DFL Caucus elected State Representative Brion Curran (DFL – White Bear Lake) as Assistant DFL Leader during the 2025-2026 Legislative Biennium. They will join Speaker-designate Melissa Hortman in leading the House DFL on the House floor and in communities across Minnesota. 

“I am honored to have the trust of my colleagues to serve in this leadership role and help pass a budget that improves Minnesotans’ lives,” said Rep. Curran. “Our DFL leadership team is ready to reach across the aisle during this historic House tie and deliver results for our communities.” 

Rep. Curran is serving their 2nd term in the Minnesota House, representing District 36B which includes White Bear Lake, Vadnais Heights, White Bear Township, Gem Lake, and Birchwood Village. They will also serve on the Environment, Human Services, and Judiciary committees. The 2025 Legislative Session convenes on January 14 at noon.
