St. Paul, Minn. - State Rep. Ned Carroll (DFL - Plymouth) has introduced House File 3379, which would invest $32 million in several infrastructure projects for the City of Plymouth, including a public parking ramp, reconstruction of Plymouth Boulevard, and an expansion of the Plymouth Ice Center.
“The Plymouth Ice Center is a vital part of our community, and these improvements have been a long time coming,” Rep. Carroll said. “These improvements will help the Ice Center match our renowned schools, and help it to continue serving our students for decades to come.”
Rep. Carroll, who represents both Plymouth and Maple Grove, serves on the House Capital Investment Committee, which will consider the legislation. Last year, Rep. Carroll helped secure $7 million for the modernization of Chankahda Trail in Plymouth, which included funding for safety improvements, pedestrian crossing enhancements, and access improvements for adjacent neighborhoods.
“As a member of the Capital Investment Committee, I know the important effect these local projects have on communities,” Rep. Carroll said. “If passed, this project will provide a much-needed investment in our local infrastructure and reassert Plymouth as a destination for all families.”
