St. Paul, MN– Minnesota’s 2023 Legislative Session officially began January 3rd as State Representative Andrew Myers, R-Tonka Bay, and 133 other state representatives took the oath of office during a ceremony at the State Capitol in St. Paul.
“It is an honor to have earned your trust to represent you, your family, and your backyard in St. Paul,” Myers said. “I look forward to getting to work, making sure that your priorities are well represented in the legislature. This includes strengthening our schools, improving access to mental health care, and helping mitigate the impacts of inflation. If we work together, we can grow Minnesota and make sure that our state remains the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Most of Rep. Myers’ work during the first months of session will take place in House committees. For the 2023-2024 legislative biennium, Myers will serve on the Capital Investment Committee, the Housing Finance and Policy Committee, and the Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee.
