ST. PAUL – Today, the Minnesota Asian and Pacific Caucus (MAP) unveiled their legislative priorities for the 2023 session. The legislative priorities include:
“I am profoundly honored to serve as MAP Caucus Chair. I am looking forward to working collaboratively with my colleagues to serve as an active, collective voice to meet the needs of Minnesotans,” said State Rep. Ethan Cha (DFL – Woodbury). “By viewing policy through a lens of equity and access, we will expand opportunities and participation for our diverse AAPI communities.”
"I am so proud that Minnesota has elected the second largest number of AAPI legislators in the United States," said Rep. Kaohly Vang Her. "Our AAPI community is the fastest growing demographic in Minnesota, and it is important that we are seen and heard here in the legislature. This session's MAP Caucus priorities have come directly from our community and will make our state a more welcoming and inclusive place to live."
The MAP Caucus is comprised of Chair Ethan Cha, Rep. Samantha Sencer-Mura, Rep. Liz Lee, Rep. Jay Xiong, Rep. Fue Lee, Rep. Samantha Vang, and Rep. Kaohly Her in the House of Representatives. In the Senate, members include ??Vice Chair Susan Pha, Sen. Foung Hawj, and Sen. Tou Xiong.
