Dear Neighbors, I hope you’re having a great fall and enjoying the season’s changes. Each year, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources tracks Minnesota’s peak fall colors and where you can find them across the state. You can sign up for email notifications, compare this year’s colors to previous years, or search for specific areas with optimal leaf viewing opportunities here.
REMINDER: Public Input Session on Highway 5 at Carver County’s Open HouseA friendly reminder to join Carver County officials, local stakeholders, and me for a Highway 5 Open House tomorrow, this Wednesday, September 27 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Arboretum, Oswald Visitor Center in Chaska (3685 Arboretum Drive, Chaska). Carver County is seeking input from the public about design ideas, now that the state legislature has secured $20 million to ease congestion, improve safety, and fix the overall flow of traffic. It was an honor to carry this legislation for our community and I hope you’ll be able to attend and share what’s on your mind. If you can’t attend, please feel free to reach out to me directly with your ideas.
Congrats, Chanhassen Elementary!Recently, the U.S. Department of Education announced the 2023 recipients of the National Blue Ribbon School awards. I’m pleased to share that Chanhassen Elementary School in Eastern Carver County was one of nine Minnesota recipients this year! A big thanks to all our teachers, administrators, and the school staff who contribute to the academic success and overall well being of our Carver County students and future generations.
