St. Paul, MN - Last week, Amy Spinello, an educator at Integrated Arts Academy within Eastern Carver County Public Schools, was named a semifinalist for Minnesota’s Teacher of the Year Award. Representative Lucy Rehm, who serves on the House Education Finance Committee, cheered Ms. Spinello’s nomination.
“A big congratulations to Ms. Spinello’s nomination for Minnesota’s Teacher of the Year! Ms. Spinello’s dedication to fostering a love of learning and inspiring young minds truly reflects the exceptional quality of educators we have here in Carver County. This nomination is a testament to the passion and positive impact Ms. Spinello, and the Integrated Arts Academy has had on our community.”
An independent panel of leaders in the fields of education, business, government, nonprofit, and philanthropy narrowed the list to a group of semifinalists from 159 to 27 educators. The Minnesota Teacher of the Year banquet is set for May 7th at the Saint Paul RiverCentre.
