Zeleznikar introduces bill to eliminate tax on social security for seniors
ST. PAUL - Representative Natalie Zeleznikar introduced a bill today, HF 1217, to eliminate the tax on social security income for seniors.
"While I was out talking to Minnesotans over the last year, one of the things I heard over and over again was that with the current tax climate, it is hard enough to retire here already - our seniors need a break," said Zeleznikar. "This is an issue that has been supported by people on all sides, as well as the Governor. We need to get this done for our seniors, who have worked all their lives and now deserve to be able to retire here at home."
