Rep. Zeleznikar and Workforce Conference Committee Complete their Work on Legislation

Saint Paul, MN — Representative Natalie Zeleznikar (R – Fredenberg Township) was the only Republican selected to serve on the conference committee for Workforce, and Economic Development. Empowering the MN economy is a priority that matters to Rep. Zeleznikar who is Chief Author on four bills included in the workforce bill. She has lead many conversations to ensure Greater Minnesota is not forgotten as DEED money is allocated across the state.

Bills Chief Authored by Rep: Zeleznikar included in this legislation:

  1. $100,000 for Lake County for an EMT program to be funded for 11th and 12th grade students to help support the ambulance department in the region.
  2. $174,000 for Duluth Public Schools to allow a new middle school software program which introduces students to numerous career technical education and trade opportunities.
  3. $171,000 for Proctor Public Schools to create a Regional Center of Excellence to allow partnerships with businesses, chambers, unions for a collaborative best practice with Proctor, Hermantown, and Esko for a leading career technical education pathway for students to pursue.

The above total is $445,000 for NE Minnesota.

In addition, Zeleznikar was able to be a strong voice to fund Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) for $500,000 and this organization is instrumental in assisting aging seniors and supporting them with non-emergency transportation, meals and so much more.

The above total includes a bill Zeleznikar is chief author for $250,000 which benefits the entire state. $250,000 for the University of Minnesota Center of Nursing Excellence to partner with all state schools to address the nursing shortage in a meaningful way.

Zeleznikar "I continue to be a strong advocate to ensure 1 million for the Entrepreneur fund which supports numerous small businesses and appreciated all the letters of support."

Senator Hauschild also supported the bills Rep. Zeleznikar was Chief Author for, and was great bipartisan work.
