Rep. Zeleznikar Elected Assistant Republican Leader St. Paul, MN – Yesterday the Minnesota House Republican Caucus held their organizing caucus where Representative Natalie Zeleznikar (R – Fredenberg Township) was elected to the role of Assistant GOP Leader by her Republican colleagues. Rep. Zeleznikar is starting her 2nd term in the Minnesota House where she has earned a reputation as a steadfast advocate for greater Minnesota and their needs including child care, elderly care, and rural EMs. With this role, Rep. Zeleznikar will help lead the GOP caucus in crafting policy, strategizing legislative agendas, and will serve on the caucus’s executive committee. "I am honored to have earned the trust of my colleagues in this new leadership role," said Rep. Zeleznikar. "As Assistant GOP Leader, I will work tirelessly to ensure that our caucus remains focused on delivering results for the people of Minnesota and that we fulfill our campaign promise of bringing balance back to the legislature. The upcoming session will bring a lot of new challenges as we enter this historically split House of Representatives. I am ready to put in the work it will take to deliver for my caucus and the people of Minnesota.” “With evenly split committees each headed by a Republican and Democrat co-chair, no bill will make it to the house floor without bipartisan support. This kind of collaboration has been largely lacking in the legislature for the past two years as we saw countless changes to state statute passed with complete disregard for opposing perspectives. The tie in the Minnesota House offers a unique opportunity to restore balance and accountability in our state government and I’m looking forward to this historic challenge.” ### |
