Rep. Allen

Greetings,

I am pleased to share that it has been a successful first week at the State Capitol in St. Paul. The session started on Tuesday with a swearing in ceremony that I attended with my wife and two kids. As a first time representative, this was a very special ceremony and I want to thank you all for entrusting me with this duty to be a voice for the people of 19A.

Since the opening day ceremony, I have been participating in floor sessions and other House meetings. This year, I will be serving on the following three committees: Capital Investment, Commerce Finance and Policy, and Higher Education Finance and Policy. Committees have already started to meet this week and I am excited to support the priorities that we will be outlining for this session.

This week in district 19A:

Boys Basketball. Catch the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights take on the Waterville-Elysian-Morrisville Buccaneers in Kenyon at 5:45pm tonight.

CRSS Winter Carnival. Cannon River STEM School is hosting an winter carnival for families on Saturday, January 18th from 1-3pm at 1800 14th St NE.  There will be indoor and outdoor activities.
