Conference committees are unpredictable, can start or stop with very little notice, and their work is sometimes hard to follow. But after the last two weeks of long floor debates and late nights, the coming days of committee meetings could be a welcome reprieve for many at the Capitol.
And they are already popping up on the schedule, although not for this weekend, fortunately.
Conference committees on the omnibus environment, public safety and agriculture finance bills are planned for Monday, with more likely to be added. Check the House schedule page for the latest information.
The House and Senate also plan to gather at 6 p.m. Monday to vote on appointments to the University of Minnesota’s Board of Regents. Click here to learn where to view those proceedings.
Have a good weekend and here’s a look back at what happened over the past week.
