Tentative Schedule for meeting of the Stadiums Task Force in Room 10 of the State Office Building
from 1-4 on Thursday, November 29.
1. Discussion and possible adoption of questions to guide the deliberation of the Stadiums Task Force.
2. Discussion and possible adoption of a schedule for remaining meetings of the Stadiums Task Force.
3. Testimony by Jerry Bell of the Minnesota Twins.
4. Potential testimony by a representative of Major League Baseball.
5. Potential testimony by a representative of the Major League Baseball Players Association.
6. Testimony by Sen. Dean Johnson (DFL-Willmar) [and possibly by Rep. Harry Mares ( R- White Bear
Lake)] on the major stadium legislative proposal from the last session, and possible adaptations of that
legislation.
7. Testimony by Sen. Ellen Anderson (DFL-St. Paul) and Rep. Phyllis Kahn (DFL-Minneapolis) on a
legislative proposal for public ownership of the Minnesota Twins.
8. Testimony by Sen. Dick Day ( R-Owatonna) and Rep. Mark Holsten ( R-Stillwater) on a proposal to
finance facilities through an expansion of gaming.
9. Testimony by Sen. John Marty (DFL-Roseville) on a different legislative perspective.
10. Testimony from a representative of the City of Minneapolis. [This testimony may be moved up on
the agenda to accommodate the representative.]
11. Testimony from Mayor Norm Coleman and Mayor-elect Randy Kelly of the City of St. Paul.
