MINUTES
Representative Otremba, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at
8:05 A.M. on March 12, 2008, in Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Shimanski moved approval of the minutes from March 10, 2008.

Representative Doty moved adoption of the committee report on HF 3417.
THE REPORT WAS ADOPTED.
Chairman Otremba moved HF 3417 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.
Representative Tillberry explained HF3417 relating to business organizations; waiver of reinstatement fee after certain dissolution of an entity when a principal of the entity is a returning combat veteran;
Chairman Otremba renewed her motion that HF 3417, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance

Representative Dettmer explained HF 3660 relating to the military; prohibiting discrimination in employment against the immediate family member of any service member; permitting civil actions; providing penalties;

Representative Gardner explained HF 3789 relating to agriculture; requiring wholesalers of lawn fertilizer containing phosphorous to provide retail signage;

(a) In the seven county metropolitan area, a retailer of lawn fertilizer
containing phosphorous must post a conspicuous sign stating the legal
limitations on the fertilizer's use.
Page 1, line 7, delete everything before "Conspicuous"
Page 1, delete lines 18 through 20
Page 1, dlete "signs provided by a wholesaler" and insert, "the sign in paragraph (a)"
Page 1, delete lines 26 through 30
