MINUTES
Representative Gene Pelowski, Chair of the Governmental Operations, Reform, Technology and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:02 A.M. on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Morgan moved that the minutes of March 11, 2008, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A bill for an act relating to municipal boundary adjustments; providing for changes in municipal boundaries; imposing powers and duties on the chief administrative law judge; etc.
Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 3357 First Engrossment be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Representative Winkler moved to amend HF 3770, as follows:

Page 2, line 32, delete everything after "(3)" and insert "a list of all employees'
titles and their salaries"

Representative Kalin moved that SF 1218, the second engrossment, be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.
Representative Kalin moved to amend SF 1218, the second engrossment, (see attached
S1218A18 amendment). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

There were 4 ayes, and 10 nays. THE MOTION FAILED.
Representative Kalin renewed his motion that SF 1218, the second engrossment, as amended, be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.
Representative Winkler requested a roll call vote.
Voting aye: Pelowski, Hilty, Kahn, Kalin, Morgan, Nelson, Peterson, N., Poppe, Simon, Winkler and Wollschlager.
Voting nay: Anderson, S., Brod, Emmer and Olson.
There were 11 ayes and 4 nays. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A bill for an act relating to data practices; specifying access to disputed data; requiring closed meetings to be recorded; granting attorney fees in certain cases; etc.
Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 3367 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Civil Justice.
