Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:25 P.M. on Monday, March 10, 2008 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF3333 (Murphy, E.) establishing a standard of protection for the risk of cancer and requiring modification of rules

Rep. Murphy moved that HF3333 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources.

Rep. Murphy renewed her motion that HF3333, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3721 (Dittrich) requiring certain health insurers to offer small employers the option to purchase certain flexible benefits plans

Rep. Ruud moved that HF3721 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce.

HF3648 (Hosch) Department of Health nursing home moratorium exemption

Chair Thissen moved that HF3648 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Chair Thissen moved the H3648DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Murphy moved the LA-A04 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Thissen renewed his motion that HF3648, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Thissen moved that HF3694 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Rep. Hosch presented the bill.

Chair Thissen renewed his motion that HF3649 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
