Representative Hornstein, Chair of the Transportation and Transit Policy and Oversight Division called the meeting to order at 1:09 P.M. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in Room 5 of the State Office Building. The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Davids moved adoption of the minutes of March 9, 2010 with a correction, to add an s to the end of his name. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1718 (Clark) Driver's license application procedures and requirements modified. Rep. Hornstein moved adoption of the

HF3450 (Holberg) Priced highway lane governing requirements modified. Cassandra Isackson and Brian Kary, MnDOT, spoke to the bill. Rep. Holberg moved that HF 3450 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Finance Committee with the recommendation that it be re-referred to the Transportation Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Lieder moved that the vote taken on the motion to recommend passage of S.F. No. 47 on April 1, 2009 be now reconsidered. A voice vote was taken and the Chair requested a division. There were 6 ayes and 7 nays, the motion did not prevail.

Rep. Davids expressed a clarification that the 6:00 P.M. recess meeting was a continuation from the 1:00 P.M. meeting. The minutes in the folder for approval will be corrected to reflect the recess and all Division action.
Rep. Hortman was wondering if the amended March 9, 2010 meeting minutes needed to be approved again reflecting the corrections. Chair Hornstein said the corrections will be made and no need to re-approve the minutes.
Chair Hornstein thanked Division members and staff. Chair Hornstein announced that there will be a regular Division meeting on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, 1:00 p.m. only if Senate Files come to the Division.
