Representative Gunther, Chair of the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:28 p.m. on March 13, 2012, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

HF2245 (Kriesel) Cottage Grove; former city hall conversion to business incubator funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.
Rep. Leidiger moved HF2245 before committee.

Testifying on behalf of HF2245 was Ryan Schroeder, City Administrator of Cottage Grove.
Rep. Leidiger renewed his motion that HF2245 be laid over in committee.
HF1337 (Banaian) St. Cloud Civic Center funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.
Representative Banaian discussed HF1337.
Rep. Swedzinski moved HF1337 before committee.
Testifying before committee on behalf of HF1337 was Mayor David Kleis, Teresa Bohnen, President of St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce.
Rep. Swedzinski renewed his motion that HF1337 be laid over in committee.
HF2210 (Banaian) Greater Minnesota internship program established, tax credit allowed, and money appropriated.
Representative Banaian discussed HF2210 for informational purposes only.
Testifying on behalf of HF2210 was JD Burton for the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities.
HF 2225 (Allen) Advocating Change Together appropriation transferred.
Chair Gunther moved HF 2225 before committee to pass and be re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee.
Representative Allen discussed HF2225.
Chair Gunther moved amendment
H2225DE1. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Testifying on behalf of HF2225 was Peggy Mehen and Rick Cardenas, of Advocating Change Together.
Chair Gunther renewed his motion that HF2225 pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
