Representative Mazorol, Vice Chair of the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:22 A.M. on March 22, 2012, in Room 10 (ground floor) of the State Office Building.

Representative Vogel moved approval of the March 22, 2012 Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Woodard presented HF 2059. Public defender representation, appointment, and reimbursement obligation provisions modified; public defender, counsel in CHIPS cases, pretrial appeals, and standby counsel costs financial responsibility outlined; appellate process working group established.
Representative Shimanski moved HF 2059 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
