Representative Marquart, Chair of the Committee on Education Finance, called the meeting to order at 8:15AM, March 18, 2014 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Representative Hertaus moved the minutes of March 13, 2014 be approved.

Representative Morgan moved HF2180 (Murphy, E.) School district employee health coverage provisions amended, and money appropriated. - pending referral.
Representative Brynaert moved the
H2180A25 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Morgan moved the
H2180A26 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Public testimony on HF2180 was provided by Brandon Rettke, Director of Public Affairs at Education Minnesota; Bob Nystrom, educator in Burnsville; Gretchen Garcia, educator in Eastern Carver County; Superintendent Les Fujitake, Bloomington Public Schools; Superintendent Dennis Carlson, Anoka-Hennepin Schools; Paul Bourgeois, Business Manager, Minnetonka Public Schools; Grace Kelliher, Minnesota School Board Association; Sam Walseth, Minnesota Rural Education Association and Minnesota Service Cooperatives.
