HEALTH FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Backer, Chair of the Health Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00PM, on ¬¬¬¬¬February 17, 2025, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Zeleznikar moved the minutes of February 12, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF10 (Schultz) State-funded services prohibited to undocumented noncitizens, and undocumented noncitizens made ineligible for MinnesotaCare and the North Star Promise scholarship program.

Representative Backer moved HF10 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance and Policy.

HF27 (Backer) State agency authority to submit a public option waiver application to the federal government repealed, and appropriation reduced.

Vice Chair Nadeau assumed the gavel at 2:07PM.

Chair Backer moved that HF 27 be re-referred to the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee.
