MINUTES

Representative Backer, Chair of the Health Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00PM, on ¬¬¬¬¬February 26, 2025, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Schomacker moved the minutes of February 24, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF129 (Repinski) Director of child sex trafficking prevention required to submit a program evaluation each odd-numbered year to the legislature.

Representative Repinski presented on HF129.

Chair Backer moved HF129 be placed on the General Register.

Chair Backer renewed the motion that HF129 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF958 (Nadeau) Medical assistance coverage of psychiatric Collaborative Care Model provided.

Chair Backer moved HF958 be rereferred to the Committee on Human Services Finance and Policy.

Chair Backer moved to adopt the DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Backer renewed the motion that HF958 be rereferred to the Committee on Human Services Finance and Policy as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF953 (West) Hospitals and birth centers required to educate parents on recognizing physical abuse in infants.

Chair Backer moved HF953 before the committee.

Chair Backer moved to adopt the DE1-1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Backer laid over HF953 as amended.

HF982 (Bierman) Opioid prevention and education funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Bierman moved HF981 before the committee.
