MINUTES

Representative Backer, Chair of the Health Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:02PM, on ¬¬¬¬¬March 17th, 2025, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Repinski moved the minutes of March 12, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1903 (Novotny) Safe Place for Newborns provisions modified.

Chair Backer moved HF1903 before the committee.

Chair Backer moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Backer laid over HF1903 as amended for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF499 (Zeleznikar) Nurse temporary permits extended from 60 days to 90 days.

Chair Backer moved HF499 before the committee.

Chair Backer laid over HF499 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF794 (Nadeau) Dementia services program established, and money appropriated.

Chair Backer moved HF499 before the committee.

Chair Backer moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Backer laid over HF794 as amended for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF837 (O’Driscoll) Commissioner of commerce required to request the continuation of a state innovation waiver, and money transferred from the general fund to the premium security plan account.

Chair Backer moved HF837 before the committee.

Chair Backer renewed the motion that HF837 be rereferred to the Committee on Ways and Means.


The meeting was adjourned at 2:45PM.
