MINUTES

Representative Baker, Chair of the Workforce, Labor and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:16AM on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, in the G3 Room of the Capitol.

Vice Chair Mekeland moved the minutes of February 13, 2025, to be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee heard testimony from Representative Hussein, author of bill H.F.110. Representative Hussein moved that an amendment to the bill be added. The motion PREVAILED.


The committee heard testimony from May Yer Thao, President and CEO, Hmong American Partnership and Mo Chang, Owner, Mo’s Tropical Whole. The bill was laid over for future consideration.


The committee heard testimony from Representative Hussein, author of H.F. 111. Tony Sanneh, CEO of the Sanneh Foundation testified in support of the bill. The bill was laid over for future consideration.


The committee heard testimony from Representative Igo, author of bill H.F. 263.
Scott Zahorik, Executive Director of Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency, testified via zoom. The bill was laid over for future consideration.


The committee heard testimony from Representative Zeleznikar, author of bill H.F. 105. Greg Ruberg, President of Lake View Hospital testified via zoom. The bill was laid over for future consideration.


The meeting was adjourned at 9:24 AM.
