MINUTES

Representative Baker, Chair of the Workforce, Labor and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:16AM on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, in the G3 Room of the Capitol.

Representative Berg moved the minutes of February 18, 2025, to be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A Quorum was present.

The Committee heard testimony from bill author, Representative Koznick, regarding H.F. 261.

Additional testifiers for bill H.F. 261 were: Sally Mixon, Ajibah’s on the backside, Lakeville Police Officer, Nick Jacobsen, and Danielle Palmer from their business department.

Bill H.F. 261 was laid over for possible inclusion.

The committee heard testimony from Evan Rowe, Deputy Commissioner for DEED, and Greg Norfleet, Commissioner for the PFML program.


The meeting adjourned at 9:47 AM.
