MINUTES

Representative Pinto, Chair of the Workforce, Labor and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:17 AM on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, in the G3 Room of the Capitol.

Chair Baker moved the minutes for Wednesday April 2nd, 2025, to be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A quorum was present.

HF 3079 (Gomez) Aids to local governments; availability of an appropriation extended.

Vice Chair Greenman moved that HF 3079 be brought before the committee.

Representative Gomez presented HF 3079.

HF 107 (Berg) Unemployment insurance eligibility modified under certain conditions for applicants involved in a labor dispute.

Representative Berg moved that HF 107 be brought before the committee.

Representative Johnson moved the H3078A1amendment to HF 3078. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Johnson presented HF 3078 as amended.

Vice Chair Greenman moved the following oral amendment: Page 1, line 10, delete “50” and insert “40”.

THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Vice Chair Greenman moved that HF 2171 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Hansen presented HF 2171.

HF 1316 (Curran) Independent contractors and payors added to the centralized work reporting system, and payors required to report independent contractors to the centralized work reporting system

Vice Chair Greenman moved that HF 1316 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Vice Chair Greenman moved the H1316A3 amendment to HF 1316. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Curran presented HF 1316 as amended.

Chair Pinto laid HF 1316 as amended over for future consideration.

HF 689 (Frazier) County attorneys authorized to use administrative subpoenas in wage theft investigations.
