Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15AM on March 27, 2025, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

HF 1833 (Kresha) Refundable sales and use tax exemption provided for construction materials for projects for Aitkin Public Schools.
Chair Davids moved HF 1833 before the committee.

HF1974 (Franson) Employee student loan payments by critical access dental clinics income tax subtraction established.
Chair Davids moved HF1974 before the committee and presented the bill.

HF1106 (Agbaje) Tax Expenditure Review Commission requirements modified, and legislative requirements for new or renewed tax expenditures repealed.

HF1681 (Davids) Maximum amount of outstanding debt allowed for the state agricultural society increased, and sale tax exemption for certain construction materials provided.
Chair Davids moved HF1681 before the committee.
Representative Davids moved the H01681A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Davids laid over HF1681, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.
HF2197 (Robbins) Individual income tax; child credit marriage penalty eliminated and credit phaseout increased, and working family credit limited based on earned income to taxpayers with qualifying children.
Chair Davids took HF2197 off the table for renewed discussion.
Representative Robbins renewed her motion that HF2197 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:45 AM.
