MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15AM on April 2, 2025, in Room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Smith moved the minutes from April 1, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF926(Nash) Sales of certain cigars exempted from the excise taxes imposed on tobacco products and premium cigars.
Chair Davids moved HF926 before the committee.
Chair Davids moved the H0926DE2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Davids laid over HF926, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

HF2437(Davids & Gomez) Individual income taxes, corporate franchise taxes, property taxes, local government aids, sales and use taxes, and other taxes and tax-related provisions modified; certificate of rents paid provisions modified; cannabis tax provisions modified; and money appropriated.

Chair Davids moved HF2437 before the committee.
Chair Davids moved the A25-0042 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
