St. Paul, MN - On Tuesday, Representative Andrew Myers (R-Tonka Bay) began his second term after taking his oath of office. Myers represents Excelsior, Greenwood, Long Lake, Minnetonka Beach, Minnetrista, Mound, Orono, Saint Bonifacius, Shorewood, Spring Park, and Tonka Bay.
"Thank you all for your support and allowing me to return to St. Paul to represent our Lake Minnetonka community for a second term," Myers said. "As a founding member and co-chair of the Suburban Solutions Caucus, bipartisanship and common-sense solutions have always been a priority, and I look forward to continuing that work and advocating for suburban families at the Capitol."
Myers, and other suburban members, founded the Suburban Solutions Caucus (SSC) to advocate for policies that directly and positively impact suburban families. From the start of his service, Myers’ bipartisan voting record and ability to focus on public service is something all Minnesotans can support.
"I was honored by the trust and confidence my colleagues placed in me to Co-Chair the SSC," said Myers. "I will remain focused on balanced solutions to the priorities of suburban families across Minnesota including education, affordability, childcare, mental health, infrastructure, and safety on our roads and in our backyard."
Myers will be serving on the Capital Investment, Housing Finance and Policy, Transportation Finance and Policy, and Ethics Committees.
Myers encourages his constituents to continue reaching out to him by phone, email, or one of his many townhalls. "Your voices have an impact. I'm here to listen, learn, and advocate for the priorities that matter most to you and our community. If you ever need to voice a concern or have legislative priorities that need to be addressed, please don't hesitate to reach out," Myers said.
