ST. PAUL – State Rep. Dean Urdahl, R-Acton Township, urges current or former Frontier Communication customers who are eligible to receive rebates and bill credits for inadequate services to apply before the July 20 deadline.
The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission ordered rebates and bill credits to Frontier customers to compensate them for service quality and reliability problems. The Minnesota Department of Commerce indicates information regarding the settlement and claims for refunds or credits was distributed in Frontier bills and by direct mail last April.
“The Department of Commerce indicates more than 2,000 Minnesotans already have filed a claim, but there must be a whole lot of other people who are eligible since Frontier and it’s affiliate, Citizen Telecommunications, reportedly serves 75,000 households and businesses,” Urdahl said. “I would hope other people who have used Frontier will check to see if they qualify before the deadline.”
Applications for refund or bill credit are available online at https://frontier.com/forms/minnesota-billcredit.
