MCLEOD INCLUDED IN STATE OF EMERGENCY

Friday, June 20, 2014

ST. PAUL — McLeod is one of 35 counties included in a State of Emergency following recent heavy rain storms and flooding. This declaration allows access to various state resources during response efforts.

The Executive Order issued by Gov. Mark Dayton makes a wide range of state resources available and engages state agencies. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is fully activating the State Emergency Operations Center. This occurs when there are significant impacts from an event over widespread areas of the state.

“I encourage citizens who have been impacted by flooding to contact my legislative office so we can help them get the assistance they need,” said Rep. Dean Urdahl, R-Acton Township.

Urdahl can be reached at (651) 296-4344 or rep.dean.urdahl@house.mn. More information, including situation reports, state agency activity, and Homeland Security and Emergency Management updates is available at https://dps.mn.gov.

The other counties in the State of Emergency include; Beltrami, Blue Earth, Brown, Dodge, Faribault, Freeborn, Goodhue, Grant, Hubbard, Jackson, Lake of the Woods, Le Sueur, Lyon, Koochiching, Morrison, Mower, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Olmsted, Otter Tail, Pipestone, Ramsey, Redwood, Renville, Rice, Rock, Roseau, Saint Louis, Scott, Sibley, Steele, Todd and Waseca.
