Dear Neighbor,
Happy Thanksgiving from the McDonalds. We are blessed by our Creator with the gifts we enjoy in America and have much for which to be thankful.
As we celebrate, let’s honor those workers/servers who make sacrifices to keep stores open during the holidays so we can travel and pick up necessities. It also is a good time to recognize the service of people like police officers and firefighters who protect us around the clock.
And, it goes without saying, we owe the ultimate thank-you to our troops serving all across the world to protect our freedom. Thank you all!
The 2015 session is only about six weeks away and I urge local people to contact me if there is anything I can do to help. We are putting things in place as Republicans prepare to take office as a House majority Jan. 6. Details should soon be in place regarding committee assignments and I will pass along word regarding what areas I will be serving as soon as that news is available. I also will circle back soon with a rundown of some key challenges we will face in the Legislature in 2015, which is a budget year.
