ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development has announced Canada-based Pizzey Ingredients will invest $3.2 million and hire 14 people to operate a new flaxseed milling plant in Delano. Below is a statement from Rep. Joe McDonald, R-Delano, in response.
“This will be a win-win situation,” McDonald said. “Citizens will have new job opportunities with good pay, while local residents also will benefit from a new company added to the city’s tax base. At the same time, Pizzey will find Delano to be a supportive, family-based community with quality workers that will be the backbone of their operation. This is an example of the economic development that was envisioned when Minnesota’s Job Creation Fund was established several years ago to drive capital investment and job creation in our state.”
