St. Paul, MN—Republican state lawmakers have penned a letter to Governor Walz urging him to reopen campgrounds and RV resorts. A copy of the letter can be found here.
“It is a privilege to represent an area of the state known for its lakes and outdoor recreational opportunities,” said Representative Josh Heintzeman, R-Nisswa. “The tourism industry is vital for our local economy and the current closures are hurting many small businesses including resorts and campgrounds that have been family owned and operated for generations. I have no doubt that these families can reopen their businesses in a way that preserves the health and safety of their customers and I urge Governor Walz to give them the opportunity to do so.”
The letter was signed by 36 lawmakers including Minnesota House Republican Leader Kurt Daudt and Deputy Leader, Anne Neu.
