ST. PAUL, MN—On Thursday, Representative Jim Nash, R-Waconia, presented his bill, HF186, to the House Taxes Committee. The legislation would ease the tax burden on businesses or vendors who must submit taxes to the State of Minnesota.
“The legislation would put money back in the hands of retailers who are processing and doing compliance work on a daily basis,” said Nash. “Mom and pop businesses across Minnesota will see relief when this hopefully is signed into law. We recognize that small business is critical to the economic health of Minnesota and providing relief is the best way we can show Minnesota that we are in St. Paul working for them"
The bill has bipartisan support, and was held over for possible inclusion in the House Omnibus Tax Bill.
