Friends,
I am extremely disappointed Governor Walz has made a reversal on an earlier pledge to uphold the precedent set by Governors Dayton, Pawlenty, and Ventura to only sign election omnibus bills with wide, bipartisan support. These bills have historically been a chance for both sides to come together and bring about changes that have made Minnesota a leader in administering free and fair elections.
Unfortunately, Governor Walz and the DFL are prepared to throw out this way of doing things and will instead inject partisan games into our election bills. The move marks the death of bipartisanship on a key issue at the Capitol. Watch my video below to get the full rundown of the situation and why it is such a missed opportunity to work together towards an even better elections system.
FoodShare Campaign
The MN FoodShare March Campaign brings hundreds of companies, civic groups, schools, and more together to help keep food shelves stocked statewide. This is a great opportunity for us to help those less fortunate in our own communities. You can find a food shelf near you here: www.foodpantries.org/st/minnesota . I will also be collecting items throughout the month of March at my office in the Capitol. If you plan to come to the Capitol this month, bring in something to donate. Let's do our part.
