ST. PAUL – State Rep. Jim Nash (R-Waconia) was officially sworn in to his first term as a state representative on Tuesday, January 6, after taking the oath of office administered by Chief Justice Lori Gildea. Nash, a businessman, will represent House District 47A – encompassing the cities of Hollywood, Watertown, Camden, Waconia, Waconia Township, Laketown, Young America, Norwood Young America, Benton, Cologne, Dahlgren, Carver, Hancock, San Francisco and parts of Victoria – at the Capitol in St. Paul.
“I am honored to have been elected by the hardworking families of District 47A to serve in the legislature,” said Nash. “I am looking forward to working hard to make sure that government lives within its means and is responsive to the needs of Minnesota families.”
Nash’s committee assignments include Government Operations & Elections Policy, State Government Finance and Transportation Policy & Finance.
