ST. PAUL – Speaker of the House Kurt Daudt (R-Crown) announced the appointment of first-term Rep. Jim Nash (R-Waconia) to serve as a member of the Capitol Area Security Advisory Committee.
“I look forward to working with members of all three branches of government to make recommendations to keep the Capitol safe and to protect the rights of Minnesotans who visit or work at the Capitol,” said Nash.
“I am confident Representative Nash will serve the committee well and will add valuable input regarding safety and security to those who visit and work on our Capitol complex,” said Daudt.
The Capitol Area Security Advisory Committee is comprised of a House Republican, a House Democrat, a Senate Republican, a Senate Democrat, a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court, and chaired by the lieutenant governor.
