Pride
Wednesday night Governor Tim Walz gave his first State of the State address. I’m proud that Governor Walz shares the core, common values of Minnesotans, and he made that clear in his speech. We care about one another, and want to see our neighbors, co-workers, classmates and relatives to have the chance to succeed and thrive. Governor Walz laid out a vision enabling us to come together and improve the lives of Minnesotans.

At the Capitol, budgets aren’t just numbers on pages, but highlight what we value as a state. The House DFL Majority has announced our Minnesota Values Budget, and I’m excited about the investments included for education, affordable health care, and safe & inclusive communities to build a Minnesota that works better for everyone. House committees are digging into the details, and I’m committed to delivering a budget that reflects the priorities of Minnesotans. |

Here’s another reminder about the Town Hall Meeting tomorrow with Rep. Schultz and Sen. Simonson at NorShor Theatre from 2 – 4 p.m. Joining us will be Minnesota Transportation Commissioner Margaret Anderson Kelliher. Being accessible to the community is extremely important to me, and we look forward to hearing your input on the issues that matter to you. |

A new episode of the Minnesota Values Podcast is out, and co-host Rep. Jamie Long and I interview Rep. Laurie Halverson about giving every Minnesotan access to Paid Family and Medical Leave (House File 5). Click here to listen on SoundCloud or find the podcast on iTunes or Stitcher.
I value hearing from you! Please don’t hesitate to contact me anytime.
Sincerely,
