Minnesota Values Podcast - State Fair Bonus Edition

Dear Neighbors,
 
I hope you’ve enjoyed your summer! While summer winding down is bittersweet every year, one thing to look forward to is the Minnesota State Fair. Amid all the pronto pups, cheese curds, agricultural demonstrations, midway rides, crop art, and live music, at its core, the state fair is a gathering of people unlike any other throughout the year. Truly, it is the “Great Minnesota Get Together.” And for legislators, what better place to find folks to discuss issues important to Minnesotans? This week, Rep. Jamie Long and I traversed the fairgrounds talking to people as we recorded a bonus episode of the Minnesota Values Podcast.

If you have plans to head down to visit the fair between now and Labor Day, be sure to stop by the Minnesota House of Representatives booth inside the Education Building. Lawmakers will be there daily, and you can take the House’s annual 12-question informal poll of a variety of issues facing the Legislature.
